The “Credit book” records every credit sale and every repayment, so you always know who owes what, and customers get a polite reminder instead of an awkward conversation.
Turn it on
- During setup, answer “Yes, I give credit” to “Do you sell on credit?”. You can change this later in “Settings”.
Add a customer
- Open “Credit book” and tap “New customer”.
- Enter the name and a mobile number. The number is optional, but with it you can send reminders straight by WhatsApp or SMS.
- Set a “Credit limit”. Credit past this needs the owner. Leave it empty for no limit.
Sell on credit
- On “Sell”, build the bill and tap “Take payment”.
- Choose to put it on credit and “Choose customer”. A new customer can be added right there with “Add and select”.
- The customer's card shows how much they owe against their limit, for example how much more credit is possible, or that they are over the limit.
Send a reminder
- Open the customer from the Credit book.
- Tap “Send a reminder”. A polite message with the amount due and your shop name is written for you.
- Send it with “WhatsApp” or “SMS”, or “Copy” it and send it any way you like.
When they pay: “Got paid”
- Open the customer and tap “Got paid”.
- Enter how much they paid and tap “Record payment”.
- The due and the cash box update together, so the Dashboard stays right.
- Wrote a payment by mistake? Cancel it, and the due goes back up by that amount.
Keep credit under control
- Review the Credit book every week and remind customers with older dues.
- Set lower limits for customers who pay slowly.
- Read the advice in “Accounts”: it warns when too much credit rests on one customer.
- Staff can only give credit if their role or permissions allow it.
